This research is focused on a 14-week fall prevention program commencing in September 2023 for older adults residing in the community. The comprehensive approach comprises physical exercises, psychoeducation, and targeted cognitive behavioral exposure therapy. The study aims to assess the effectiveness and acceptance of a multicomponent community based fall prevention intervention for older adults’ fall prevention.
Be 50 years old and above.
Be capable of walking 10 meters or more without assistance.
No/limited experience using virtual reality technology.
Not currently participating in another study throughout the duration of this project.
Accept to sign consent form.
Not speak or understand French or English.
Have a dementia diagnostic.
Need a wheelchair or some form of support (e.g., cane, walker) to get around.
Refuse to sign consent form.
